I'm New

Interested in visiting or new to Live Oak? Have questions? Here are the answers to a few of the most frequently asked questions we receive.

Sundays

How long does the service last?

Our services are usually about one hour long, and they begin at 11:00am.

What is there for my kids?

Kids are able to participate in the musical portion of the worship service with their parents and then come to Rooted Kids when the sermon starts. You’re welcome to come with your children!

What kind of music do you have?

Our music is a combination of contemporary and more traditional songs. Our worship services are made up of all age groups, and our music has something for everyone.

How should I dress?

You can dress however you like! Our pastor sometimes preaches in a t-shirt, so you can dress in whatever way you feel most comfortable.

Wednesdays

What are Wednesdays like?

Beginning at 7pm each Wednesday evening, we offer a Bible study for adults in the sanctuary, youth in the youth room downstairs, and children in the fellowship hall (and sometimes they venture outside with supervision to our enclosed play area).

What about dinner?

During the school year, we offer dinner beginning at 5:45pm. Donations to help offset the cost of the meal are appreciated, but not obligatory. On Wednesday nights during the summer and during school breaks, dinner is not offered.

What else happens on Wednesday nights?

Our worship ministry rehearses at 8pm after the Bible study. If you are interested in participating in our worship ministry, please contact our worship leader in person or via email at  worship@liveoakbaptist.church
